SITE ACCREDITATION is a complex process for a horse business. It involves an external audit of staff qualifications and experience, horses and horse keeping, facilities and site management, risk management processes and standard operating procedures for all horse related activities. See site accreditation process paperwork here.
Our site accreditation includes the Australian Horse Industry Council’s code of practice for horse activities, HorseSafe, plus some extra areas from the Horse Safety Australia Standards. Those sites which have achieved full accreditation should be congratulated for their efforts. We hope in the future that many sites will see the merit in undertaking this process as an external audit of their operations.
